Useful 2D Board Software? Hi...
My topic doesn't really explain what I'm looking for very well.
Umm, I'm thinking about making some analysis videos of different games and positions, for my own benefit and for anyone else interested.
I have a screen recorder that works pretty well, so now I'd like some useful 2D board software.

I'm hoping for a program that...
1) can go through the moves fairly quickly.
2) can switch from one position to another fairly easily... maybe one that can load a position automatically, if possible.

a bonus would be a program that can highlight squares and diagonals.
or one that just looks sharp.

I don't have much experience with programs of any kind, so there is likely to be something fairly obviously suitable.... that I just don't know about.
It could be something really small and simple, i think.
But I'd be willing to try a bigger program if that would work well.

All ideas and advice welcome.

Thanks. :)

One idea... ...is the free program ChessCat ( -> www.chesscat.loncarek.de ). You can "adorn" positions in a fairly basic way (arrows, dots, and Xs), and use keyboard shortcuts to toggle these on and off.

This program, and similar ones, will allow you to keep multiple games open at the same time; you can rotate through these by tiling or cascading the windows and maximizing the one you want to focus on. So as long as you prepare your games and comments in advance, you should be able to move quickly through them.

Good luck with your project! Let us know how it goes.
